Retreat Weekends with Saint Stephen’s

Retreat weekends with Saint Stephen's are for parishioners to have an immersive experience of connection and fellowship. We have such a bustling year and it's hard to get to know each other between services. Our goal is for those who attend a retreat weekend to leave with new friendships or deeper relationships with parishioners while experiencing God's presence through intentional time together.

Labor Day Weekend

Our Parish Retreat is made for everyone, kids included! We have a wonderful mixture of parishioners in every stage of life…some who have been coming for over 20 years! This weekend is such a special time of togetherness with our Saint Stephen’s Family. We worship, work, and play together all weekend long in the beauty of “God’s Backyard,” at Camp McDowell.

At our Women's Weekend we have lots of time for fellowship and connection. We host potluck so sharing the gift of food brings us closer. We have time for hiking, dancing, and singing along with a new speaker who fits the theme for the year. We end with a beautiful worship experience in the St. Francis Chapel, where we are reminded of whose we are before heading back to our day-to-days.

At our Men’s Weekend we spend time getting to know each other through shared activities, guest speakers and presentations, and through porch hangs. This is a weekend made for you to get out into nature, experience the beauty of Camp McDowell, our Diocesan Camp and Conference Center, which sits on the edge of the Bankhead National Forest. We enjoy home-cooked meals and music throughout the weekend and end with Eucharist together onsite.
